ABOUT

Lucas Etcheverria is a musician from Brazil based in Hamburg, Germany. His musical environment includes mainly jazz and Brazilian music, with earlier roots in rock, prog rock and MPB (música popular brasileira).

In Brazil, the guitarist had the pleasure of working with renowned musicians such as Kiko Freitas and Edu Martins on the EP "Ways Ahead", available in all streaming platforms.

Mit seinen Bands, Projekten und Soloauftritten war der Musiker schon in Brasilien, Deutschland, England und Italien zu sehen. In März 2023 hat er mit seinem duo Gidam in Japan eine Tour gespielt, im Rahmen der Veröffentlichung ihrer neuen EP „Clarity". His performances in Germany include ELBJAZZ, Vibraphonissimo Festival, Hamburg.stream, JazzHall Hamburg, Hamburg City Hall, Jazz Kitchen, along the Cheltenham Festival (UK), International Jazz Day (BR), Music Week Asciano (IT) and often in venues in Hamburg and surroundings.

In the summer of 2023, the guitarist will release his first album of original compositions.

Currently Lucas is developing his own music in the "Lucas Etcheverria Quintet" and is also a member of bands such as Gidam, MaracutaiaEtcheverria & Oppermann Duo and JazzTrack. In addition, he has recorded on albums / EPs such as from Tudo Azul and Yuliia Holub.
